Troubleshoot connection: Cannot login using modern authentication - access denied or Sign in with Google temporarily disabled for this app

Build 1067+ (same version v3.2) should fix common google authentication issues. So please upgrade first (https://gearmage.zohodesk.com/portal/en/kb/articles/latest-pro-client-and-pro-server-builds-how-to-get-them). 

For Microsoft and Google connections, the program uses modern authentication. In these cases, you will be asked to login using a web popup or a browser.

Error logging in to your email account with the popup or a browser

If you are receiving errors or issues during this step, try the following:
  1. Microsoft: check the box to use System browser and try to update to the latest browser (eg. Edge or Chrome). Then open the browser and login to your Microsoft account that you want the program to use (do NOT logout). Then try to authenticate again using the program.
  2. Google: this should work without issues. If you are seeing issues here, refer to permissions section below.

Cloud Permissions for the app

If you are seeing an error in the browser where it says this application was blocked, you will need to contact your company admin to allow permissions. Specifically, the admin will need to enable EWS or Exchange Web Services for this application and may need to add this application as Full Trust (eg.  Full trust settings for all of our domain for the API)
