Microsoft Authentication - Login Loop
We have seen some reports where certain browser configuration or OS configurations or Office 365 configurations results in a login loop wherein you enter your username and password in the browser but you are taken back to the login screen.
This isn't a fault with the program itself but the way Microsoft requires authentication. In some cases, this may also be caused by permissioning issues.
If this happens, try the following workarounds:
Ensure you have the right permissions (see
Security)
Login using default browser normally
Open the default system browser (non-private mode),
Login normally into your Microsoft O365 account
Do NOT logout until you have added this account to the program (see below).
Now open the Mail Attachment Downloader program, click Settings button for the account, click the Clear Cache button and then Test Connection button.
If there is a checkbox option in the program to use the System browser then check it.
If the above does not work: try to delete the account in the program (using the trash icon), restart the program and try setting it up again from scratch.
Once you have done the above, you should no longer see the login loop as you have previously already logged in to your account using the same browser the program uses for authenticating.
